New services aligned with company's customer-centric repositioning and vision bring engaging and rewarding TV experiences for customers and audiences
Stockholm, Sweden - Net Insight, the provider of live, interactive and on-demand media transport, will unveil new solutions and showcase its latest innovations at IBC 2015 for broadcasters, network service providers and content owners to be part of and stay competitive in today's rapidly changing media landscape.
The industry is in the midst of a revolution, with the audience taking control of how they consume entertainment content. At IBC 2015, Net Insight will show how, as a true visionary and partner, it will enable the success of media ecosystem players across the media transport chain. Highlights include:
New Product Enhancement for Operational Simplicity
Expanding on the capabilities of Net Insight's Nimbra platform, the new solution provides network flexibility, elasticity and service agility broadcasters and operators need to effectively and easily manage and deliver new, premium media and video services to audiences anywhere, anytime on any device. Net Insight will also provide numbers and quantify how the Nimbra platform currently overcomes network complexities and opens the door for new revenue opportunities.
Expansion of Net Insight's Customer Provisioned Networks Offering
Net Insight will unveil a new tool that will compliment and enhance the capabilities of its Customer Provisioned Networks solution. This solution is the industry's only service that enables broadcasters and content owners to automatically and instantly self provision the transport of video and Ethernet services over service providers' networks on demand. Based on Net Insight's Nimbra MSR technology, the service reduces operational costs, increases flexibility and provides control and pay-per-minute services broadcasters rely on that cannot be achieved through today's common static networks.
New Innovations to Support Net Insight's Vision for On-Demand Network Provisioning
Net Insight will unveil its vision for the future of customer and application provisioned networks. Expanding on the success and capabilities of the Customer Provisioned Networks offering, Net Insight will launch its first application provisioning solution. The joint solution provides fast and seamless exchange of media content for broadcasters and content owners over managed media networks.
Industry's Most Viable Solution for 4K Media Transport
Net Insight will demo its unrivalled solution for transporting 4K signals over IP infrastructures consisting of 1G to 10 G links, addressing today's and tomorrow's challenges for UHD TV. By enabling high-quality compressed TV-content to be delivered over diverse network links, the solution makes 4K transport commercially viable now. Furthermore, the solution offers integrated JPEG2000 compression and support for path diversity to allow splitting the signal over multiple low-bandwidth connections.
Live Sport Contribution and Acquisition Over the Internet
Net Insight will display its award-winning Nimbra VA 200 series, which allows for the expansion of content acquisition and for sports broadcasters and OTT-providers to easily and cost-effectively create and cover more content through high quality media transport over the global Internet. Additionally, Net Insight will showcase how the Nimbra VA 220 enables on-site personnel to quickly and affordably connect to cameras for compression, conversion and transport of high-quality content across any type of network in the absence of reliable bandwidth.
Remote Production and Workflows
Net Insight has driven the shift to remote workflows in production environments by providing the real-time, low-latency content with 100 percent quality of service (QoS) demanded by media operators. This will be showcased with a joint demo of a live transport feed from Net Insight's to Grass Valley's booth at IBC. Net Insight will also discuss its most significant deployments that point to this as a continued trend.

Additionally, as proof of its innovation and technological capabilities, Net Insight is a finalist in the CSI Awards 2015 and the IABM Design & Innovation Awards, which will be announced at IBC on September 11 and September 12 respectively. The Nimbra OT 100 is up for CSI s best cable or fibre contribution/distribution/transmission solution, while the Customer Provisioned Networks solution is a finalist in IABM's Systems Automation and Control category.
