EBS ON COURSE FOR RACING UK WITH FULLY INTEGRATED EPG DATA WORKFLOW

EBS, the leading full-service provider of EPG data for platforms and channels worldwide, has announced that it has been chosen by Racing UK to supply EPG data listings to the Sky platform. EBS already provides EPG data listings to Freeview on behalf of Racing UK and this further contract expansion enables the broadcaster to send all of its EPG data to Freeview and Sky, as well as the press for online and printed TV guides. This fully integrated data workflow provides Racing UK with a write-once-publish-many approach via EBS' EPG data software solution Pawa.

Racing UK Limited was successfully launched as a subscription channel in 2004 and now has 34 racecourses as shareholders. The major UK courses provide Racing UK viewers with the finest Flat and National Hunt racing that the sport can offer.

The launch of Racing UK Anywhere now offers viewers the flexibility to choose and change multiple devices by watching on up to three platforms from Sky, Freeview, iPad, iPhone, Android, Desktop and Mobile web. As a result, the need to integrate the EPG services in a platform agnostic manner became critical.

EBS provides Racing UK with a clear, defined workflow taking all the scheduling information for the channel and restructuring it to meet the requirements of the platform, aggregating all data through its central Pawa system for consistency and ease of use. Pawa allows data to be entered once, and replicated across multiple platforms. This makes changes to EPG information in the event of a planned meet being cancelled or a day's racing overrunning much more straightforward.
