Eurovision, NBA Renew Partnership for Global Distribution By SVG Staff

Eurovision, the operational arm of the European Broadcasting Union, and the NBA have extended their agreement for Eurovision to transmit live NBA games, NBA TV, and other NBA programming to the league's international television and digital media partners through the 2021-22 NBA season.
Eurovision and the NBA began their partnership in 2012 to ensure basketball fans around the world can follow their teams and see NBA action. Through the new agreement, Eurovision will continue to distribute live games and NBA programming to NBA broadcast partners via its Eurovision Global Network available throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Eurovision will also set up the contribution satellite uplinks from the venues for the preseason NBA China Games 2017 taking place in Shenzhen and Shanghai in October, as well as the regular-season game - NBA London Game 2018 - at the O2 Arena in London in January.

The first NBA programming that Eurovision will transmit as part of the new deal will be NBA China Games 2017 when the Golden State Warriors meet the Minnesota Timberwolves in Shenzhen on Thursday, Oct. 5 and in Shanghai in Sunday, Oct. 8. The first NBA regular-season game will be on opening night of the 2017-18 NBA season on Tuesday, Oct. 17, when the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Boston Celtics in a rematch of the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals in the first game of a doubleheader on TNT at 8 pm ET.
