Investigadores del centro tecnol gico Eurecat han creado una nueva tecnolog a de sonido binaural que permite producir y distribuir m sica y contenidos de audio 3D inmersivo en los dispositivos m viles, que se podr probar por primera vez durante el Mobile World Congress (MWC), del 22 al 25 de febrero.
Al audio distribuido por m vil le falta calidad, naturalidad e immersividad , subraya el director de Tecnolog as Audiovisuales de Eurecat, Adan Garriga, que sostiene que esta innovaci n en el sonido binaural, fruto de un trabajo de investigaci n iniciado en abril de2015, tiene potencial para implantarse muy pronto en el mercado internacional, dado que se escucha con un reproductor normal y con cualquier tipo de auricular .
La tecnolog a binaural es una t cnica mediante la cual produces un sonido teniendo en cuenta la forma de tus orejas, de manera que a cada o do le env as la informaci n que recibir a de forma natural en el lugar de origen de los sonidos , explica Garriga.
Seg n el investigador del centro Tecnio, el sistema es igual que en el caso de la imagen en 3D, de forma que a cada oreja se le env a un sonido para que el cerebro pueda generar la sensaci n tridimensional . En cambio, especifica, en el caso del est reo no tienes en consideraci nlas orejas humanas cuando env as el sonido a la derecha y a la izquierda .
Los investigadores de Eurecat han desarrollado herramientas que permiten grabar y producir contenidos sonoros en este formato binaural en el Laboratorio de Audio del centro tecnol gico, ubicado en la sede del centro tecnol gico en Barcelona, situada en el Distrito 22@.
Aunque el sonido binaural da la sensaci n de audio 3D con cualquier tipo de auricular, Eurecat ya est trabajando para adaptar unos auriculares a su sistema, para que la experiencia inmersiva sea de la m xima calidad , adelanta el director de Tecnolog as audiovisuales del centro.
