Barco & GCCD join forces for the Norwegian control room market

Kortrijk, Belgium, 30 January 2023 - Barco, a world leader in control room visualization, has partnered up with GCCD (Drammen, Norway). The new partnership underlines the commitment of both Barco and GCCD to continue to support the Norwegian control room market with advanced visualization and collaboration solutions.

GCCD is a provider of complete and customized solutions for the control center market. In addition to control room technology, the company also has a strong focus on audiovisual and furniture solutions. GCCD has decades of experience in the audiovisual industry, ranging from large-scale simulator installations to complex control and monitoring environments used in various applications, including oil rig monitoring and traffic control. Today, the company is using Barco technology for smaller, custom installations, as well as for complex, large-scale projects.

GCCD serves highly demanding customers in critical markets, such as oil and gas, offshore installations, renewable energy, process monitoring, and government, says J rgen Mathiesen, Sales Director at GCCD. Barco is very selective in appointing its partners, but it was motivated by GCCD's steady growth over the past few years in terms of turnover and staff. The company is also an early adopter of Barco innovations and has included many of Barco's latest control room solutions - LED video walls, OpSpace, Barco UniSee, TransForm N - in its stunning customer experience center in Drammen.
