Middle Atlantic Expands Award-Winning Pre-Configured BGR Racks

Middle Atlantic has expanded the BGR Pre-Configured Rack options after customers called for more sizes for their different sized installations. Pre-configured racks allow customers to use a single part number and they get a BGR Rack (the #1 AV rack) and all the most popular accessories they need for an optimized AV system. It takes the guesswork out of purchasing a full bill of materials and customers can feel confident they are getting exactly what they need.

Middle Atlantic first launched the award-winning Forward Pre-Configured BGR and the AV Pre-Configured BGR in September 2019 at CEDIA in Denver, CO.

Built to install today's systems at tomorrow's speed, Forward is designed around an innovative new rackrail in the BGR and Middle Atlantic's patented universal hole pattern that allow the family's blank and vent panels, cable management, lighting, and other rack solutions to be quickly installed without tools. With Forward, integrators can install everyday rack builds five times faster and with the reliability to ensure a satisfying and positive AV experience.

The Forward Pre-Configured BGR includes:

Pre-installed UPS in a caster base

10 outlet Select Series PDU with RackLink

Multiple 1RU and 2RU Forward tool-free blank panels

Forward horizontal and vertical cable management

Forward tool-free tie saddles

Forward small device clamps

Lever Lock plate for small device mounting

Forward utility light

276CFM thermostatically controlled fan top

Front door

Rear door

Side panels

And 100 rack screws

Parts that have a designated spot, such as the UPS caster base, vertical lace bar, fan top, etc., are pre-installed before shipping, reducing installation time in the shop.

The AV Pre-Configured BGR includes everything in the Forward version except for the UPS caster base, Select Series PDU with RackLink and utility lighting. This makes it a great option for overseas countries who want to take advantage of the time savings found with pre-configured and pre-installed racks.

The pre-configurations for the Forward and AV BGRs were chosen based on results of many interviews with customers to learn what would be most helpful to include. They also include reusable packaging that helps installers build the rack and install the equipment at the shop before re-packaging it to safely transport the fully loaded rack to the job site.

The Pre-Configured BGRs now come in two heights and depths, making for a total of eight pre-configured options to meet installation needs. Both the Forward and AV come in 27 and 32 inch depths and 38 or 45RU.
