Mit der North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) l utet die Autowelt traditionell das neue Autojahr ein. Dieses Mal findet die Detroiter Messe vom 13. bis 26.01.2014 statt. Der Industrie- und Automobilzulieferer Schaeffler legt in der Metropole der US-amerikanischen Automobilindustrie den Fokus auf das Thema CAFE-Standards. CAFE steht f r Corporate Average Fuel Economy und beschreibt die mit Blickrichtung auf 2020 und 2025 zunehmend restriktiveren gesetzlichen Flottenverbrauchs-Vorschriften in den USA.
Im Rahmen einer Pressekonferenz werden Klaus Rosenfeld, Vorsitzender des Vor-stands Schaeffler AG sowie Prof. Peter Gutzmer, Vorstand Forschung und Entwick-lung Schaeffler AG, detaillierte Informationen zum Unternehmen sowie zu den neu-esten Produktentwicklungen geben. Die Pressekonferenz findet am 13. Januar 2014 um 7:00 Uhr Ortszeit im Messezentrum, Konferenzraum 360 (Ambassador Ballroom), 3. Ebene in unmittelbarem Anschluss an die an selber Stelle gegebene Pressekonferenz des VDA (Verband der Deutschen Automobilindustrie) statt.
Mit dem auf dem Messestand ausgestellten Demonstratorfahrzeug Efficient Future Mobility North America zeigt Schaeffler, wie sich mit ausgew hlten Produkten kos-teng nstig auch mit einem der in Amerika beliebten SUV die CAFE-Vorgaben f r das Jahr 2020 erreichen lassen. Das Konzeptfahrzeug auf Basis eines Mid-Size-SUV wurde von den Experten in den drei nordamerikanischen Schaeffler R&D-Zentren in Troy (Michigan), Fort Mill (South Carolina) und Wooster (Ohio) durch ganzheitliche Detailarbeit im Antriebsstrang auf musterg ltige Effizienz getrimmt. Insgesamt wurde durch den Einsatz verschiedener serienreifer L sungen eine Kraftstoffersparnis von mehr als 15 Prozent im realen Fahrbetrieb nachgewiesen - und dies sowohl f r Fahrprofile in der Stadt als auch auf der Autobahn.
Die breite Palette von innovativen Produkten f r Antriebsstrang und Fahrwerk macht Schaeffler zu einem wichtigen und leistungsf higen Partner f r die weltweite Auto-mobilindustrie, vor allem wenn es um effiziente Mobilit t geht. Akribische Detailar-beit und neue L sungen im Antriebsstrang mit Verbrennungsmotor bieten weiterhin beachtliche Potenziale zur Verringerung von Kraftstoffverbrauch und Schadstoff-emissionen , erkl rt Prof. Peter Gutzmer, Vorstand Forschung und Entwicklung der Schaeffler AG. Und die Elektrifizierung des Antriebsstrangs hilft dar ber hinaus, den Verbrennungsmotor im optimalen Betriebsfenster zu betreiben oder Anfahr-schw chen zu kompensieren. Dementsprechend wird die Hybridisierung mit gro en Schritten voran schreiten. Die zunehmend fl chendeckend verbreiteten Start-Stopp-Systeme werden sich weg vom klassischen Anlasser hin zu Systemen entwickeln, die bereits Eigenschaften bieten, wie man sie bislang einzig von Hybridfahrzeugen kennt. Und mit zunehmender Leistungsf higkeit der Bordnetze und Systeme wird auch die Wiedergewinnung von Energie zum gro en Thema. Wird diese dann f r den Antrieb genutzt, so sinken dadurch auch Verbrauch und CO2-Emissionen.
Demzufolge bietet das Schaeffler Produktportfolio auch f r die Elektrifizierung des Antriebsstrangs zahlreiche Innovationen. Die Bandbreite reicht von leistungsf higen und komfortablen Motor-Start-Stopp-Funktionen ber Hybrid-Kupplungen und Hyb-ridmodule bis hin zu Antrieben f r Hybrid- und Elektro-Fahrzeuge.
Das Messeexponat System 48V b ndelt eine Vielzahl von Schaeffler Ideen, die f r Hybrid-Fahrzeuge mit einem leistungsf higen Niedervoltnetz geeignet sind. Diese zeigen auch einen potenziell kosteng nstigen Weg, zuk nftige CAFE-Vorgaben f r das Jahr 2025 zu erreichen. Zentrales Element ist ein 48-Volt-Antriebsmodul. Die Verwendung einer 48-Volt-L sung bietet bereits eine ideale Einstiegshybridisierung, mit der sich Verbrauch und CO2-Emissionen durch eine signifikante Rekuperation noch einmal um bis zu 15 Prozent reduzieren lassen , erl utert Schaeffler Entwick-lungsvorstand Prof. Peter Gutzmer. Damit bietet diese Einstiegshybridisierung be-reits die wesentlichen Vorteile eines Hybrid-Fahrzeugs - und das zu wirtschaftlich beraus interessanten Konditionen. Hat sich ein Automobilhersteller f r ein zweites Niedervoltbordnetz (neben dem Standard-12-V-Netz) entschieden, lassen sich wei-tere Innovationen sinnvoll in ein Fahrzeug integrieren. So zum Beispiel reaktions-schnelle und leistungsstarke Aktuatoren, mit denen sich die Wankstabilit t oder Bo-denfreiheit regeln l sst. Das wirkt sich unter anderem positiv auf die Aerodynamik und damit auch auf den Kraftstoffverbrauch aus.
