Economy of Jiangdong District shifts to four new model

The supporting effect of the services industry has become obvious as it accounts for over 90% of the economic growth of the first three quarters of the year. The "four new" economy, the new industries like financial services and modern shipping logistics, the new technology featuring new materials, the new economic model represented by "internet+" and sharing economy, and the new industrial patterns such as E-commerce and culture creativity, has become the new economic growth point and pole for Jiangdong District.

The new industries have displayed a dominant advantage. In the first three quarters, 47 financial institutions were established in the district, and so far there have been 80 financial legal person agencies and regional headquarters in the district, accounting for half of those in Ningbo. The Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group has been officially inaugurated and has settled down at the Universe Shipping Square. The NCFI of Ningbo landed on the Baltic Sea Exchange, and the trade volume of the Ningbo Shipping Booking Platform reached 3.77 billion yuan, up by 38% over the same period of last year.

The new technology featuring new materials has bloomed. So far, there are 17 high-technology enterprises. The project of "rare earth magnetic rotor of the high-speed motor for respiratory rehabilitation equipment" undertaken by Yunsheng Group applied for the demonstration project of national torch program for industrialization, and Jiwutang Corporation applied for the national torch central hacker-space.

The new economic model featuring "internet+" and sharing economy, and the new industrial patterns featuring E-commerce and cultural creativity have also developed well. The four hacker-platforms, including the industrial design and incubation center and the E-commerce park of Jiangdong District, have started construction or put into operation. In the first three quarters, over 160 E-commerce market bodies were established with an online sales volume of 3.4 billion yuan. The trade volume of the Ningbo Bulk Commodity Exchange reached nearly 400 billion yuan, up by 28% over the same period of last year.
