Royal AM owner and millionaire businesswoman Shauwn MaMkhize' Mkhize will make her debut on the e.tv medical drama Durban Gen on Friday 28 October.

MaMkhize joins the show as herself where viewers will see her back-to-back. The reality tv star will play the role of a sponsor to an NGO that Sne (played by Nombulelo Mhlongo) finds herself establishing later on in the series.

MAMKHIZE AND THE ACTING BUG The business mogul told TshisaLIVE in August that she had had no desire to pursue acting unless someone persuaded her.

If somebody approaches me then, yes, but it's not something I'm going out and looking for.

In a released statement to the publication, Durban Gen said, Shauwn is set to pursue her interest in acting on the popular medical drama Durban Gen.

Her first appearance on screen will be in late October this year. Shauwn will enter the world of Durban Gen as herself in back-to-back episodes, playing the role of a sponsor to an NGO that she finds herself establishing later on in the series

At the time, the show's spokesperson Nomfundo Sibiya said we're excited with the prospects of where the story is headed. Expect some interesting conversations to be sparked with the inclusion of MaMkhize .

I AM NOT JOINING UMKHOKHA' With the rumours that the mother of one was joining Umkhokha earlier this year swirling around, Shauwn denied them and said she was instead focusing on her business.

They wanted me to come in but by the time I was supposed to come in, that's when I had my issues with soccer and had to buy a new club. I was committed to starting a new club so I couldn't be in Umkhokha, she told TshisaLIVE.

Nomfundo however did confirm that she was joining Durban Gen but admitted that her schedule could not allow her to shoot whenever needed to

She had to postpone her shootings but she comes when her schedule allows her to do so. The plan is for her to appear in October. She won't stay long as her role is a cameo, said the source.
