Fujifilm Attain Top Marks for Patient Data Handling

The safety and integrity of patient data is a priority for all those involved in the healthcare industry, and Fujifilm take the responsibility of data security extremely seriously. The monitoring of organisation's processes and procedures when dealing with patient data is undertaken via the Information Governance Toolkit. This is a Department of Health (DH) Policy delivery vehicle that draws together the legal rules and central guidance as set out by DH policy. Organisations in scope of this are required to carry out self- assessments of their compliance against the Information Governance requirements.
For the second year running Fujifilm has achieved full marks in the assessment, a result only achieved by 4 out of the 23 organisations in scope for the medical imaging market in 2017. Fujifilm are strategically committed to being industry leaders on compliance and best practice, and the Information Governance Toolkit allows for continual assessment of process and procedures against the very latest requirements. This objective is also supported by the attainment of ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485.
Fujifilm continue to demonstrate their dedication to meeting the ever evolving challenges faced in the field of data security, and this result reflects the company's commitment to excellence across all Quality and Safety legislation.
