We would like to share some news that Object Matrix has been selected by two globally renowned brands to protect their digital video content. UK based Guardian News & Media and Paris based OCS (Orange) both recently selected MatrixStore to protect digital video assets in Adobe and Cantemo Portal/Vidispine workflows. We have also been busy providing new systems to existing customers including France T l visions ordering their 11th MatrixStore cluster and both BT and BBC Cymru Wales expanding well past the 1 Petabyte mark.

I also wanted to share two, fantastic, new case studies from The Miami Heat and France T l visions. Both show how Object Matrix customers can benefit from trusting MatrixStore nearline storage in their file based workflows:

Miami Heat- With the steadfast and enduring popularity of the Miami HEAT, there is a burgeoning demand for a wider variety of content generated by the world renowned NBA franchise. The raw footage, created by HEATV, the team's Media Production department, needs to be ingested and secured in a timely fashion in order to ensure a fast turnaround and distribution of the finished content. France T l visions - The primary production workflow at France T l visions' headquarters is based around Avid Interplay PAM using Avid ISIS7000 storage. At the Paris location a dedicated team is in place to manage the ingest of file based content and the allocation of media, where appropriate, for each programme. With rapidly growing production needs, capacity on the online storage is frequently unavailable due to reaching the maximum useable space on the ISIS7000 platform. However, not all the content that resides on this tier one storage is necessarily required in the short or medium term.
