Broadcast Solutions GmbH Sees Ongoing Demand for Streamline OBs

(23/09/2014) As part of a long term contract Broadcast Solutions GmbH in Germany announced the delivery of the 11th Streamline unit to European company Mediatec Broadcasting.

After signing a frame contract in 2011 Broadcast Solutions and Mediatec worked closely together in developing the Streamline Concept. The aim of this effort was to conceive a flexible OB with standardized hardware and workflow concepts.

This results in short setup times, reduced training costs and highest flexibility, providing customers with the right tool in a demanding Outdoor Broadcast market. The Concept originally was developed for smaller and somewhat less demanding productions. But working with the first units it became clear that this concept works perfectly for large high-profile events and today the Streamline OBVans have proven their ability to cover for instance the European Song Contest (ESC) or the IIHF World Championships.

Paul Henriksen, Mediatec Broadcast CEO comments: During the development process we worked closely together with Broadcast Solutions which led to affordable, reliable and flexible OB units with a very short delivery time. Within three years of our agreement we have taken delivery of 11 Streamline units and a large Broadcast Centre in Oslo from Broadcast Solutions. All delivered without remarks, at the right time thanks to one of the industry's best suppliers.

The Streamline concept has now become an international success for Broadcast Solutions who are now continuously delivering Streamline units to other Broadcasters around the globe.

Visitors could experience at first hand the latest improvements in Mediatec s HD18 a full scale Streamline OB as well as the newest Compact member of the concept a flexible and capable OB with up to 6 cameras.
