
EDIUS, now compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) Grass Valley editing solution offers increased performance version 9 and will be available for purchase, without subscription.
Grass Valley It has just released version 9 of its editor Edius. The main novelty is that the new Edius is compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR). In addition to the typical Log established, it is fully compatible with the Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) included in multiple cameras Sony and Panasonic recently presented. HLG, the image will look very well on any standard screen and will look even better on a HDR monitor.
The editor is capable of detecting the engraving color space and automatically applies the correct settings for a native editing. Supports a wide range of sources (PG and HLG) HDR, including professional cameras, drones, action cameras and smart phones, makes of SDR and Log HDR and allows SDR and HDR to be mixed in the same timeline. Compatible I/O cards and monitors allow a real preview of HDR. HDR projects can be exported to
TVs HDR and YouTube playback (such as H.264, 10-bit, 4:2:2).
In addition to all this, Edius 9 supports a wide range of color spaces, including BT.2020 and BT.2100. And now supports native Canon C200 Cinema Raw Light and 10-bit Cinema DNG.
Without subscription plan
Grass Valley continues the ownership model "buy once and use forever". Users are not forced to any subscription plan. You will also have a new model of floating licenses for enterprise customers that allows great flexibility to larger companies that can now make sure Edius is installed on multiple computers, only taking into account the maximum users competing will be the number of purchased licenses.
In addition, the editor can now be used in the cloud with direct access to the cloud-based resources, eliminating the need to update and download large amounts of data.
