Chessington, UK, 15 February 2013 - FOR-A is presenting its latest products at BVE 2013 including specialist cameras, vision mixers, multi viewers, frame-rate converters, file-based solutions, and more.

FT-ONE Full 4K super slow-motion camera

For those seeking higher image resolution the new FT-ONE is the world's first full 4K super slow-motion camera. With a FOR-A originally developed high-sensitivity CMOS colour sensor, it captures images at up to 900fps, and replays 4096x2160 film-look super slomo' video. The global shutter ensures capturing split-second movement in detail and without shutter distortion.

FT-ONE stores its raw uncompressed images to an internal 9.4-second RAM. This data is then transferred to one of two hot-swappable SSD cartridges, each storing 84 seconds of full 4K images. The FT-ONE can simultaneously record and playback in full 4K. Two outputs are presented as 4K via four 1080p HD-SDI outputs, and two down-converted HD-SDI versions for live viewing and the control menu.

FZ-B1 camera delivers moonlight sensitivity

The new FZ-B1 high-sensitivity HD camera from Flovel, uses a 2/3-inch CMOS 1.3 mega pixel colour image sensor and records in 1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 720p/60p and 720/50p formats. The combination of low-light sensitivity of 0.01 Lux with HD colour imagery make it suitable applications ranging from day/night nature video production, surveillance and microscopy to day/night policing and traffic control.

HVS-390HS vision mixer

The HVS-390HS is the latest compact, cost-effective vision mixer from FOR-A. Available in 1 M/E and 2 M/E versions, it includes 16 HD/SD-SDI inputs and eight outputs (expandable to 24 inputs and 13 outputs), with frame synchronizers for all inputs. Built-in resizing engines on four inputs allow mixing HD, SD, and PC sources. Two chroma keyers and four keyers per M/E are standard. All keyers have 2.5D DVE and there are two 3D DVEs (for background and keyer) for each M/E. The switcher includes stores for up to 480 video frames and up to 100 events.

FRC-30 compact quality frame-rate conversion

High quality motion-compensated frame-rate conversion is now available in a compact form either with the new 1-RU, half-width FRC-30 or as the UFM-30FRC card for a UF rack frame that places many converters in one box. These HD/SD converters provide FOR-A's high quality frame-rate conversion in a compact format and at a compact price. These support up/down/cross conversion of 1080i, 720p, NTSC, and PAL at a variety of frame rates for HD/SD-SDI and analogue composite signals.

Among other products on show are the MV-1620HS HD/SD 16-input Multi Viewer, the LTS-50 file storage system that enables low-cost video storage on LTO-5 tape and much more.
