The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has teamed up with YouTube to maximise the global reach of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, complementing the coverage of official broadcasters.

From 28 August through to 8 September, the Paralympics YouTube channel will provide its most extensive coverage of a Paralympic Games to date, including wall-to-wall live action, replays, highlights, creator content, athlete features and much more. Content will be available for free for users across 175 markets and territories around the world.

Audiences can expect to see:

Live coverage: Nearly 1,400 hours of live coverage from all 22 Paralympic sports will be available, including both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Multiview: for the first time YouTube is introducing Multivew globally, enabling viewers to watch up to four streams from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games simultaneously. Multiview was previously used in events like NFL and Coachella as well as in some regions during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Clips and highlights: Each day of the Games, clips of every single race, contest, and match - more than 1,200 clips in total - will be made available to the Paralympics YouTube channel to ensure audiences can catch-up on the action at their convenience. These will be raised up for users in the search page with Official Cards allowing seamless discovery of Paralympics content

YouTube Shorts: Throughout the Games the IPC will also be producing close to 400 YouTube Shorts focusing on great sporting moments, and up to 40 athlete feature films

YouTube's coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympics will complement the work of our 160+ official broadcasters and ensure that every person on earth has the opportunity to watch the Games across a range of platforms. In terms of coverage, Paris 2024 will be the most accessible Paralympic Games in history.

The Multiview player has been a tremendous success in the US, and the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will be a gamechanger, making it the first time Multiview player is available globally and will captivate viewers with a new way to enjoy multiple streams of live sporting action at one time.

Paris 2024 Sport Explainers - Produced in partnership with Allianz, 90-second-long animated guides to each of the 22 Paralympic sports.

Crafting Champions - 22 of the world's best Para athletes give an insight into their preparations for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Game Changers - 22 short film featuring Para athletes who have made a major different to their sport.

#ChangeStartsWithSport - A series of 22 films where Paralympians explain the transformational impact Paralympic sport has had on their lives.

Ones to Watch - 22 short films highlighting the star athletes in each of the sports that will feature at the upcoming Paralympic Games.

Many media rights holders of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are looking to utilise YouTube to enhance their coverage of the event, with many looking to stream every minute of all the sporting action.

YouTube has been the global digital home for sports moments, big and small. More than 35 billion hours of sports content are consumed annually on YouTube. In certain markets YouTube will be geoblocked depending on the rights sold in that region.
