Cloud computing, big data, Internet of things, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, trends in the ICT sector AMETIC and Madison Market Research in a study analyzed trends in the ICT sector where is shows that changes in the business sector will cause an increase of the size of firms, the emergence of new specialised SMEs and an increasing entry of foreign competition.
The Association of electronics companies, information technology, telecommunications and digital contents (AMETIC) and Madison Market Research, have developed the study Trends in the Sector of the technology information (TI) which identifies those that by their foreseeable implementation and capacity development, shall constitute a reference point for suppliers and users of the Sector of information technology.
According to AMETIC data referred to 2016, the Sector of information technology represents a turnover of billion 23.441 and a high level of power contracts that, in that same year, gave direct employment to more than 200,000 professionals, figure that the 800,000 workers if you look at those who perform their functions surpass TI in other sectors of activity. For years, it is expected that sector maintained its growth trend in its turnover and employment.

According to the conclusions of the study, the five trends you that in the coming years will mark the development of the sector for its welcome and introduction generally are Cloud Computing, Big Data, Internet of things, Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity.
Cloud Computing is the activity that has obtained a greater consensus among expert participants in the study in its identification as a trend. The ability of Cloud Computing to facilitate that any user can access model "as a Service (XaaS)" applications and more advanced infrastructure of your technology provider, make it player in the digital transformation of enterprises and society as a whole.
Big Data is another of the most reviewed trends, given the progressive increase in the number of devices interconnected, capable of producing a large volume of data. This translates into a huge potential for the generation of knowledge and value information.
In addition, this technology allows increase productivity, identify new markets and learn more about the models of behavior, preferences and needs of the consumer.
With respect to the Internet of things (Internet of Things - IoT) experts agree the value of the produced information, allowing to improve decision making and process automation. Similarly, they indicate that the impact of this technology will be great, both at home and in industry.
The fourth mentioned trend lies in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as cognitive technology, which will have a great positive impact on organizations and employment. Areas such as Marketing, operations, information technology, sales or finance, already use the prediction of behavior in known contexts.
Cybersecurity is another of the lines that more will grow within the sector of the information technology, due to the need to solve the vulnerabilities that may arise in the use and application of the previous mentioned trends.
According to the study, the challenges facing these technologies are numerous - many of them shared - such as those related to the safety and privacy of the data, or the existing legal barriers. Similarly, it indicates the need to undertake an adaptation to the characteristics of each sector, at the same time that combine standardization and specialization.
Professional qualification
The qualification of the workers is another key them referred to in the report, so that it can cover the shortage of certain professional profiles necessary to face successfully the digital transformation. The publication also highlights the need to increase the levels of investment of resources for its development, while that demands joint efforts in the sector that relevance these technologies as levers of growth.
