Were an animation studio based in JHB and were recruiting specifically for the production of the countrys first animated TV series being produced using motion capture technology.

Were ideally looking for self-motivated, talented 3D artists, who are driven by a passion for their craft and looking for an opportunity to collaborate on an animated comedy for kids. Were looking for junior, mid-level and senior artists across all the 3D disciplines, mid-level compositors and senior production staff. All the positions are fixed term positions and based at our studio in JHB.

Junior 3D motion capture data cleaners

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Well developed technical aptitude

Keen interest and willingness to learn new software

Junior 3D character animators

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Natural ability for 3D character animation

Senior 3D lighting and rendering artists

Requirements:

Advanced 3D Maya skills

Advanced 3D rendering skills

Experience as lighting TD is preferable

RENDREMAN experience is preferable

Junior pipeline engineer

Requirements:

Preferably a comp science qualification

Advanced programming skills

Keen interest and willingness to collaborate on the design of a bespoke 3D animation pipeline

Junior data wrangler

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Well developed technical aptitude

Keen and willingness to learn new software

Junior render wrangler

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Well developed technical aptitude

Keen and willingness to learn new software

Mid-level 3D character riggers

Requirements:

Mid level 3D Maya skills

Mid level 3D rigging skills - both body-rigging and face-rigging

Mid level blend-shape skills

Mid-level 3D character modeler

Requirements:

Mid level 3D Maya skills

Mid level modelling skills

Interest/Experience with FUR an/or CG hair

Zbush and MUDBOX skills preferable

Mid-level Nuke compositors

Requirements:

Mid level NUKE skills

3-5 years experience as NUKE compositor

Senior animator (animation Director)

Requirements:

5+ years as animation director is preferable

Strong 3D camera, layout and composition skills

Strong direction skills
