The enthusiastic journalist, Lelethu Malinga (played by Yonda Thomas) that joined the popular soapie Generations: The Legacy a year ago is bidding farewell to the soapie.

Thomas, who played Lelethu Malinga, will not be returning to reprise his role in the new season of the soapie. He is currently starring in BET's new telenovela Redemption', Entertainment Commentator Kgopolo Phil Mphela said on Twitter.

HE WAS ANNOYING' TWEEPS WEIGH IN Season 9 of the fan-favourite soapie will premiere on 21 November where a much hotter storyline seems to be the order of the day.

Tweeps have however expressed that Lelethu's storyline got to their nerves as he was always in everyone's business.

Although Yonda has not confirmed his departure from the soapie, viewers are looking forward to seeing more of his character on Redemption.
