Maharaja Lawak Mega 2019' (MLM 2019), sebuah program realiti pertandingan komedi yang paling dinanti-nantikan oleh peminat tegar lawak di rantau ini bakal membuka tirainya secara rasmi pada setiap hari Jumaat mulai 1 November 2019, jam 9.00 malam selama 11 minggu berturut-turut.
MLM 2019' akan disiarkan secara langsung di Astro Warna (saluran 132), Warna HD (saluran 124) dan distrim melalui platform Astro GO dan On Demand untuk pilihan lebih fleksibel.Antara barisan peserta yang akan menjayakan MLM 2019 terdiri daripada dua peserta solo dari Indonesia, Rahmet dan Popon, serta sembilan peserta berkumpulan - Cali' dari Brunei, Bocey', Zero', Rare', Puteh', Stone', Jambus', Rojak' dan juga juara program Muzikal Lawak Superstar' musim pertama, J-Born'!
Menariknya lagi, edisi MLM kali ini membawakan satu episod istimewa, Maharaja Lawak Mega 2019 - Kerusi Panas' atau Hot Seat' yang akan bersiaran seminggu lebih awal (25 Oktober 2019, Jumaat, 9.00 malam), secara langsung di saluran Astro Warna dan Warna HD yang mana akan menyaksikan 12 peserta lawak berentap untuk meraih kedudukan di pentas utama MLM 2019.
MLM 2019 - Kerusi Panas' ini akan dihoskan oleh pengacara sensasi, Nabil Ahmad, dan tiga nama besar dalam industri bakal terlibat untuk mengadili persembahan peserta. Mereka adalah pengarah tersohor, Sabri Yunus, pelakon wanita popular, Fasha Sandha dan produser filem, Mejar (K) David Teo.
Sebelum ini, gandingan duo Mr. Os & Abon - OSBON (2011), Johan & Zizan - JOZAN (2012), Jep, Shuib & Rahim - SEPAHTU (2013), Atu, Syaiful & Sharif - ZERO (2014), Achey, Abam dan Fad - BOCEY (2016 & 2017), dan Sharol & Ajak - SHIRO (2018) juga pernah dinobatkan sebagai juara Maharaja Lawak / Maharaja Lawak Mega' untuk musim-musim yang terdahulu.
NOTA RINGKAS MAHARAJA LAWAK MEGA 2019'
- Mula bersiaran pada 2011, Maharaja Lawak Mega (MLM)' menggabungkan pelawak-pelawak dan pelakon komedi profesional terbaik Nusantara (Malaysia, Singapura, Indonesia dan Brunei), untuk sama-sama berentap di atas pentas besar bagi merebut takhta Juara' bagi musim tersebut. Barisan peserta ini perlu membuat persembahan komedi berdasarkan tema mingguan yang diberi. Pada masa yang sama, peserta terbaik pada setiap minggu akan dianugerahkan gelaran Man of the Match' dan membawa pulang trofi kemenangan.
- Buat julung kalinya, MLM 2019' mengalu-alukan kedatangan peserta dari Brunei, Cali'. Disertai oleh dua orang pelawak, Khai dan Tony, mereka akui ini merupakan percubaan pertama kumpulan duo ini bertanding di luar negara.
- Cukup sinonim dengan jenama Maharaja Lawak Mega', pengacara tersohor dan versatil tanah air, Dato' AC Mizal buat sekian kalinya diberi tanggungjawab untuk menggalas tugas hos MLM 2019'. Ini merupakan penampilan kelapan beliau sebagai pengemudi utama program ini.
- Sementara itu, meneruskan tradisi pengenalan barisan juri MLM' seperti musim-musim sebelumnya, keempat-empat Juri Tetap hanya akan diumumkan secara eksklusif pada siaran langsung minggu pertama MLM 2019' kelak, yang mana tirai rasmi akan dibuka pada Jumaat, 1 November 2019. Lebih hebat, apabila 4 orang Juri Tetap ini hadir dari berlainan latar belakang, gabungan juri dari beberapa buah negara semestinya mampu menarik perhatian dan penuh dengan kejutan.
- Bersiaran seminggu awal, kali pertama edisi khas MLM - Kerusi Panas' diperkenalkan adalah pada tahun 2013 dan diikuti dengan tahun 2014. Kerusi Panas' memberi peluang kepada barisan pelawak dari pelbagai latar, baru dan lama untuk mencuba nasib berada di senarai teratas bersama peserta MLM yang lain. Ini kerana, format asal MLM menyaksikan peserta yang terlibat dijemput secara eksklusif untuk menyertai program ini. Menerusi MLM - Kerusi Panas', peluang turut dibuka kepada pemain komedi yang lain.
- Pengumuman mengenai peserta terbaik yang akan diserap masuk ke program MLM 2019' dari episod MLM 2019 - Kerusi Panas' akan dibuat di penghujung rancangan.
- Turut membanggakan, MLM' masih mengekalkan rekod cemerlang sebagai program realiti pertandingan komedi Malaysia pilihan ramai apabila berjaya mencatatkan sejumlah 5.6 juta tontonan. Penerimaan di ruang digital kekal unggul dengan MLM musim lalu merekodkan sejumlah 25 juta tontonan; menjadikannya sebagai salah satu program paling popular sepanjang tahun.
- Kumpulan J-Born' yang dianggotai Khir Rahman, Vicha dan Joey merupakan Juara program komedi muzikal Astro Warna, Muzikal Lawak Superstar', dan ini adalah penyertaan sulung bagi pelakon, penulis dan pengarah, Khir Rahman.
- Popon' dan Rahmet', dua peserta solo dari Indonesia yang pertama kali beraksi di pentas MLM pernah menyertai sebuah program pertandingan komedi popular di Indonesia Stand Up Comedy Indonesia' (SUCI), di mana Popon meraih takhta Juara.
- Format pemarkahan kekal - 70% jumlah pemarkahan akan diberikan oleh barisan juri tetap manakala 30% daripada undian penonton melalui perkhidmatan pesanan ringkas (SMS) dengan menaip MLNama Peserta atau MLNama Peserta untuk 3/5/10/20 undian ke 32777, dan juga di platform rakan digital, Gempak di www.gempak.com/maharajalawakmega.
- SINAR tampil sebagai radio rasmi bagi musim terbaharu MLM 2019 ini. OPPO', jenama telefon pintar ke-4 terbesar di dunia merupakan Penaja Utama bagi MLM 2019, manakala Flamitoz' dan Coway' hadir sebagai Penaja Bersama.
